Delete data

This is a courtesy translation. The German version is the legally binding one.

This page explains how you delete your data in the Umgangszeit app and how you request that we delete data we have received from you. Umgangszeit has no user account and no user profile.

Deleting data in the app itself

Everything you record in the app (contact times, costs, receipts, photos, moments, details about your child) is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to it and therefore can neither view this data nor delete it for you. Only you can do that:

• In the app's settings, tap “Delete all data” and complete the double confirmation. This irrevocably removes the app's database and all of its image files.
• Or uninstall the app. This also removes the app's data from the device.
• If you exported a backup yourself, it is wherever you saved it. Delete it there.
• A device backup at Apple or Google is deleted in your device's system settings.

Data we may receive from you

These are the only cases in which we receive any data from you at all:

• Waiting list: If you join the waiting list via the website or a prompt in the app, we receive your email address and the details you enter in the form. We can find and delete this data using your email address.
• Feedback: The feedback form is anonymous. We ask for neither a name nor an email address. If you nevertheless wrote something in the free text that points to you, we can find and delete the entry using the date and an excerpt of the text.
• Messages to us: If you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We delete both on request, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
• Usage statistics: If you have given your consent in the app, anonymous events are counted. They contain no names, content or contact details, and the installation identifier cannot be linked to a person. We therefore cannot attribute individual entries to you, nor delete them selectively. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app's settings; from then on nothing further is transmitted.

Requesting deletion from us

Send us an email at datenschutz@umgangszeit.app. Please put “Deletion request” in the subject line and state which data should be deleted:

• For the waiting list, the email address you signed up with.
• For feedback, the approximate date and an excerpt of your text.
• For messages to us, the email address you wrote from.

We confirm the deletion by email, at the latest within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR). As a precaution, we may ask you to briefly confirm your details before we delete anything.
